This website helped contribute to the narrative established by my thesis project.
The fictional 42 towers uses this website to promote the apartments available in the tower, the amenities, the team involved in designing the tower and job opportunities available
This series of work takes the form of a website as a portal into the country of Eagle Canyon. The creation of this website is inspired by the Eagle Canyon golf and lifestyle estate, a 3000 hectare residential estate located in Roodepoort with over 800 houses. It has its own golf course, gym, restaurants, clubhouses, tennis courts and more. Eagle Canyon is an example of how many individuals with means choose to build and consume architecture.
INSTALLATION
In this series of work propaganda is used as a tool to create the narrative of this landscape, a narrative for promoting capitalism as a necessity, the need for relentless production and consumption, and the need for large labour forces to support this. The medium of stencils
and layering of spray paint and architectural drawings starts to talk about the relationship between architecture, capitalism and the critique of capitalism.
